Marchelle L. Sellers | Chief Executive Officer
Marchelle was first invited to travel to Haiti six months following the earthquake in 2010 during her tenure as the executive director of Mending Kids, a global pediatric NGO. There were numerous children that needed critical surgeries and she worked hand in hand with APJ to coordinate the emergency evacuation and long-term care of several young women through their successful recoveries. Throughout her nearly 20 year career in nonprofit, Marchelle focused specially on children founding the Ronald McDonald House in Pasadena, California USA (2003) and serving committees for the city, for the local hospital and serving currently on the advisory group of Shriners Hospitals. She has received many awards for her organizational leadership including Rotarian of the Year (2015 & 2018) Nonprofit Executive Director of the Year (2014) by the Los Angeles Business Journal and named one of the Top 50 Women of the Year by THE Magazine in 2013. Marchelle attended the University of Southern California and received her MBA from Ashford University with a specific concentration in organizational management. She minored in sociology, accounting and economics.
Vivienne Crye has over 20 years experience in financial controlling and advising. She has served as advisor for non-profit 501c3’s and as CFO for social impact enterprises. Currently Viv serves as an advisor to and financial controller for APJ. Vivienne has an MBA from Northeastern University and a BA from Michigan State University.
Erlantz Hyppolite | Country Director
Erlantz is a Haitian physician that has been working in the public health sector for the past 10 years in Haiti’s Artibonite Valley, Léogâne, and Port-au-Prince. Over the course of his career he has undertaken many projects focused in underprivileged communities. At the core of his work is the belief that providing dignity through education and economic opportunities is the core intervention that will change lives for the better in the long-term. Erlantz has sought ways to work with the youth of his country ever since coming to this conclusion, and for him working with Artists for Peace and Justice is a concretization of this vision.
Dana Maksimovich | Chief Relationship Officer
A TV and film producer, Dana has been working with APJ since it’s inception in 2009. She worked on the Academy Award-winning film “Crash,” “In the Valley of Elah,” and the TV series “The Black Donnellys,” among other productions. After the earthquake in Haiti, Dana helped produce the “We Are The World 25th Anniversary” video to help raise money for the devastated region. She worked with the board of directors and staff to devise the founding principles and continues to create long-term strategies to ensure the children of Haiti receive the education they deserve.
Pascale Metellus | Operations Coordinator
Pascale was born in Haiti and moved to Chicago with her family at 3 years old. She has worked in experiential marketing as a brand ambassador, and most recently as Office Manager and Executive Assistant at an Ad Tech company. Pascale has a passion for photography, spreading love and positive vibes, but most importantly for helping others. This Cubs fan is thrilled to be a part of the team, and is eager to support the efforts of APJ in empowering the beautiful people of Haiti.
