We understand the game-changing effects of secondary and higher education in breaking the cycle of endemic poverty.
The Academy for Peace & Justice
The Academy for Peace & Justice, constructed on a seven acre campus in the capital of Port-Au-Prince, is the largest secondary school of its kind in Haiti. Having now grown to full enrollment, the Academy offers a complete secondary education serving more than 3,500 students. It is unique in seeking out some of the city’s most struggling and deserving youth, providing both a dignified education and access to healthcare.
The Artists Institute
The Artists Institute is a creative campus for art, technology, and business. Comprised of the Ciné Institute and Audio Institute, it provides training and technical resources to power a youth-led creative economy. Located in Jacmel, on the beautiful southern coast of Haiti, the campus features world-class recording studios, video editing suites, and production facilities. It has been a co-recipient of an Emmy Award and frequent host to award-winning, internationally acclaimed artists. Many Institute graduates quickly earn twenty times the national average annual household income.
Brilliant is Beautiful
We know firsthand the power of investing in women, supporting the dreams of over 1,500 young Haitian women to succeed in secondary and higher education. Working towards the global emergence of a generation of transformative women-led leadership, Brilliant is Beautiful provides support to local organizations in developing nations working to empower girls and women through secondary education and professional development.
Building on our experience in Haiti, Brilliant is Beautiful is now partnering with organizations in Peru, Uganda, and Pakistan to expand our scholarship program.
