We’re proud to announce the Academy for Peace and Justice, Cine Institute, and the brand new Audio Institute are now open for the 2013-2014 school year. Artists for Peace and Justice began with a piece of land and a dream to build a free high school for the very poor. This year, we have 2,200 high school students enrolled at the Academy, 100 college students enrolled at Cine and Audio Institutes, 1,500 music school students supported through local music schools, 250 faculty and staff in permanent jobs, and over 1,000 construction jobs created through our capital projects. We’ve come a long way since that original dream, and all of our progress is thanks to you. Your commitment provides education, employment, and empowerment for the poorest communities in Haiti — and supports more dreams in Haiti than we can count. Our dream, and the dreams of thousands of Haitians, continue to grow because of you. We’re thrilled that the school year is off to a great start. Stay tuned for more updates throughout the year!
